Spinning Head
Messing around with some new animation software
…
Working with OSNAP GALLERY I will soon have some great quality prints available to buy online.
Featuring new works and old you will be able to buy signed large size prints for an affordable price and have them delivered to your door!
Keep checking back for more info and let me know which of my existing images you would like to see up for sale. I’m thinking some of the athility stuff would look good as large prints? what do you think?
Animation Cometh
I completed the 3 month animation course at the end of last year, I loved learning to animate but since then really haven’t done any, the problem is (as always) money and time, both of which animation consumes vast amounts.
The animator in me is soon to be released again though.
a month or so ago I was fortunate enough to see Something of the Night perform a live unplugged gig in Cafe Kino, I was blown away by their music, one track in particular “barriers divide” which deals with the distance and fragility of a human connections on the underground network struck at my heart strings.
I was overcome with the need to animate a music video for this song and so has begun the long process for production, Sennen and Ben have been busy recording a version of the song they are happy with to use and I’ve been to London taking photos of various public transport systems. Before I can begin animating I will need to produce a animatique which is sort of like animation plan just using sketches set in the correct order, also known as a animated storyboard.
Here is a clip of part of the song
Keep a tab on their movements here http://www.myspace.com/somethingofthenight
and join the group on facebook too you wont regret seeing them play

SEW THAT JAZZ ARTWORK AND I AM EXCITED…
Greetings!
Two pieces of communications from me this eve
Number one is I just wanted to quickly share you some art I did for the Sew That Jazz fashion girls, They have a studio in the same building as mine and needed some art done, Who you gonna call? your creative neighbours naturally! (watch out though girls, I need a little pink too-too with leather whip and I’m heading your way) Ahem anyway, we did two versions, They felt the white best represented their brand but I totally dig the black so I thought I would post both. Which do you prefer? please comment
My second news is just about very excited I am about a BIG piece of artwork I have just completed, you got a very small preview of it in the previous post but the finished piece is really something else. Well I’m not supposed to say that because I did it but you know when your an artist sometimes you get reallly excited about your work and you feel the need to type on your blog at half 10 at night alone in your studio thinking about too-too’s and whips…
But anyway the reason I have just done some massive artwork is because I am doing a series of works for the lovely http://www.osnap.co.uk, Ben is the name of the main one over there, he’s made from pure patience and virtue, I know this because it’s taken me ages to actually start working on them. But oh wow it was worth the wait, I havent had this creative freedom since I worked on my athility project years ago, I am really enjoying it *smiles*
So Rory is doing some prints for Osnap we have established that but what if we dont like Rory’s ghibli ripped off over photoshopped cliche ridden creations? Enter the very talented Gavin Strange, Willy Wonker to the wonderland of Jam Factory, Big Web Cheese at Aardman. He and Me have teamed up to form a sort of full spectrum design illustration warrior moment! a bit like Power Rangers! only with just two of us… and we arent Power Rangers
But sadly I have no pics to share of this yet, I am anticipating 4 finished works before the end of July, more info before then
Click here to check out Gavin Strange of Jam Factory
And here to see whats currently going on at Osnap
Below is the Sew That Jazz works
WIP Girl, Gun and Cloud Print
Just a quick work in progress screen cap to keep things lively here, Taken from a print titled Girl, Gun and Cloud which I am currently working on.
Do not worry she will not be naked in the finished piece but it helps to draw anatomy without clothes.
Am I telling the truth or a pervert? please comment.
